[ BASICS ]

Name: Robert Swayze Keene (Robby Keene)
Canon: Cobra Kai; show based off the Karate Kid movies
Age: 17 as of end of Season 5
Birthdate: 4th February
Height: 5'07-'08
Personality/Traits: Adaptable, friendly smartass, considerate, determined, stubborn, envious, insecure, susceptible, hotheaded, misguided
Expanded Personality/Experiences: (vague references to events through seasons 1-4 (but kept light))
Robby Keene, a 17 year-old boy whose life only a year ago comprised of petty thievery, handling drugs, and dropping out of school because it was a waste of time. A father that was never there, and a mother who was just as lonely for love from another as her own son, but who wanted it from men and booze than the family Robby wanted around him.

And truthfully, not all of that has changed. Robby is spunky, the kind of kid who wants to see the moves you boast, can have a knee-jerk temper, but isn't going to get hostile without reason. He'll defend himself if he needs to, and he'll be willing to take things further for himself or a friend, to be in their corner. Loyal to those he respects, he won't stand badmouthing in front of him; and while he'll take opportunities to talk without fists, he'll go there if it's necessary.

Robby's life has been turmoil with misunderstandings and rash decisions made around him; and an anger, misery, and self-blame that's always been lurking under the surface since he was born. When presented with the opportunity for a better life, Robby gets out from crime and finds a sense of stability. He's one of the more reasonable kids his age around him, doesn't try to escalate trouble when his history rears its head, and shows a begrudging acceptance over his absent father, if not able to quickly forgive.

He does what he can to keep this life safe, but when it starts toppling down, Robby's own guilt and fear makes it hard for him to reach out to those who care. And when he does, he's rewarded with a perceived betrayal, of being grassed on from the one man who'd given him so much.

The hostile defences he's always put up around his deadbeat father go up higher, and his own difficulties in reaching out - and with the people around him not knowing how to reach out to him - makes it easier for him to be susceptible to being convinced, that none of this is his fault. He takes the blame he has for himself and directs it outward, using it to guard his heart - and this comes tumbling down as soon as he witnesses a younger boy become vicious under his help.

Because for the attitude Robby can give, and for what he's willing to do himself, Robby doesn't want to see those he cares becoming as ugly as him.

[ IN CHARACTER ]

Hugging this character: Fine given most contexts! Will be better with acquaintances than out of nowhere.

Kissing this character: context, etc, if he's not in a relationship and they have good chemistry then sure!

Flirting with this character: yeah sure, but if it's in a relationship he'll turn down anything that's serious or if it goes on for too long.

Fighting with this character: yea sure let's fight. He's a normal human teen who knows karate pretty well, and that's about it.

Injuring this character: sure

Killing this character: let's discuss it!

Using telepathy/mind reading abilities on this character: yeah go for it, just let me know and i'll give more details.

Warnings: has a history of child neglect, accidentally putting a kid in hospital, handling drugs, and a lot of self-blame/resentment/grief surrounding previously mentioned child neglect. otherwise, a normal kid.

[ OUT OF CHARACTER ]

CONTENT I ABSOLUTELY NEED WARNINGS FOR, BUT CAN STILL PLAY: Self-harm. Just be vague about the self-harm (cutting) and I'll be fine with it!

CONTENT I ABSOLUTELY NEED WARNINGS FOR AND THAT I CAN'T PLAY: Eating disorders in the form of purging. I'm okay with it being a thing, but couldn't be involved with a plot surrounding it and helping out. Also, harm to dogs and pets.

Backtagging: sure! but i can't always keep interest in threads that go too slowly

Threadhopping: ask me first

Fourth-walling: sure, but i don't imagine it being an extensive conversation. if we're in a game and karate kid-relevant people are around, i'll go along with their choice.
